Catz Jazz Rescue assists as many unfortunate & abandoned cats as possible, while advocating the message of compassion towards animals and responsible pet ownership. Catz Jazz strives to be one of the best Austin cat rescue operations by providing comfort & care for each and every animal coming into our rescue with consideration of their individual situations. Our goal is to find life-long companions for the rescued cats in our care.
Read about Curzon: Curzon came to us by way of a gentleman who has been assigned to a position in China and did not feel right about putting the cat through 6 months of quarantine as he had only had the kitty for just over 4 months.
The humane society he adopted this kitty from would NOT take him back so he asked us if we would, as this gentleman had adopted a cat, Naomi, from us in Dec. 2010 as a friend for Curzon and we were taking her back as is our policy, so we also took Curzon in hopes that we can get them placed together. Naomi is now named Ezrie and has spent enough time with Curzon that we do not want to separate them or their comfort in each other.
Curzon is a gorgeous silver/grey tabby and is a rather quiet, non-intrusive kitty who enjoys the companionship of his adoptive sister and will thrive in the care of a loving caretaker.
If you would like to do a meet and greet with this sweet pair, please contact us to arrange a meeting. They are waiting for their new forever home where they can get some stability and assurance again.
Baby, let's paint the town! If you want some Cat Jazz in your life and are interested in adopting this groovin' Catz Jazz rescue cat, please complete an online adoption application right now, call us or visit our adoption counselor on WEEKENDS at Lakeline PETsMART near Best Buy ACROSS from Lakeline Mall! We do not have a shelter building facility, but can set up appointments to bring a cat for a meet and greet to a prospective adopters' home up to 50 miles from our Austin base.
This SATURDAY & SUNDAY @ Lakeline PETsMART 11066 Pecan Park Blvd. Cedar Park, TX 78613 Please Follow Catz Jazz! Thank you for supporting us! All donations are tax-exempt. We are a registered 501(c) (3) charity recognized by the IRS. | Donate a Kuranda cat bed If you can't adopt Curzon, would you consider donating a Kuranda cat bed to him while he waits for his forever person to find him? Our rescued cats love to sleep on Kuranda cat beds because of their orthopedic comfort and we love them because they are stackable, allowing high perches for shy cats while increasing the amount of floor space, but due to our already constricted operating budget, we just don't have enough for everyone to sleep on. When you donate a Kuranda cat bed to us, you will give an Austin rescue cat a place to sleep in comfort and have a bed to dream on while they patiently wait for their forever home. We also gratefully accept donations of much-needed items from our Catz Jazz Wish List. Thank you so much for helping us out. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. |
A husband, father, brother, friend, and neighbor who lives in our community, is in dire need of our immediate help! At the beginning of July 2010, Chris Blankinship, a trusted and caring volunteer with Catz Jazz Rescue, was diagnosed with an Anaplastic Astrocytoma (grade III). This is a rare (about 4% of the population), life-threatening, rapidly-growing, malignant tumor. Due to the nature of this specific tumor and it's location, the only available treatment possibilities are very limited clinical trials (experimental treatments) for chemo and radiation treatment possibilities that will easily exceed the tens of thousands of dollars mark. We believe that with prayers, positive energy and strong willpower, and the financial help from compassionate supporters who are sympathetic to his plight, we can give Chris a chance to opt for those treatment possibilities, but time is of the essence! Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is so greatly appreciated by his friends and family. We humbly ask for your support. Can you please help? Click here to Read Chris's story. |
