Update 4-2-11
Hey, this boy has come a long way! He was neutered this past week, had his teeth cleaned, and is now free of infection. His blood work was perfect! No more fluid on the lungs. He is actually playing and moving around like the other dogs. HE SIMPLY LOVES TO RIDE IN THE CAR!
He loves to sleep with me but in honesty, I must admit he snores! ha
Now he wants you, to be his mom.
Update to his condition 3-21-11
I took this little man to the vet this morning, he had fluid in his lungs and it was also filling his stomach. He also has a level 3 heart mumumur. He is now on Laslik to rid the fluids. and will stay on that for a week. He is on a daily heart medicine, he takes one tablet a day, and that will be for life. The good thing is that it is EXTREMELY inexpensive! He is on daily dose of Vetprofen, for old age pain of arthritis. Again, this is pennies a day. And he is on the antibiotics for his mouth infection. and hopefull y will be able to do his dental and neuter soon. We are waiting until next week for x-rays and bloodwork. THISBOY DESERVES A CHANCE TO LIVE "THE GOOD LIFE" AFTER THE WAY HE HAS LIVED. sO HE REALLY NEEDS A SPECIAL HOME.

Toltec, or To To as I am calling him, is a senior guy, who has spent his life at a kennel, being used to breed the females. He came to us stinking as all "mill dogs" do, fom living in feces and stench! He had long toe nails that made his toes turn abnormal postions. He had a mouth full of rot, and hardly no teeth..
This breeder has a real nice website, that looks like she really cares about her dogs. But shame on her for selling puppies from this guy, who passes on his bad knees to his offspring!!! I call her place "Puppy NO Love", in Noble, Okla.
He is so crippled on both back legs, he could barely walk, but to remove some of his weight off of them, he walks with his front elbows turned way out. And carries his head low. I can not imagine how much pain he is in now and has lived most of his life with!
BUT no more, he is on pain managment now....
We will be taking him to the vet Monday A.M. first thing, to get bloodwork done. That way we can see if he has any underlying problems that would prevent us from cleaning his few teeth and getting him neutered. Oh, I forgot to mention he only has one eye!
If you would have a place in your heart and home for this special boy, he sure needs YOU.
His adoption fee will be negotiable to the right family, since his future well being and safety is our main concern............ Please note: we do not adopt to families with children under the age of 10 years old. And we require a securly fenced yard and it will be inspected at time of the home visit. So if your fence needs repair, please get it done before applying for one of our dogs.
