Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lenny: 84-Pound Lap Dog
It’s impossible to look at Lenny without smiling. He’s one of our all-time favorites. It’s hard to explain how special Lenny is. You just have to meet him!
And we’re not the only ones who noticed something special about the mastiff-boxer with a heart of gold. When he was rescued from the streets and taken to the police station, the officers and dispatchers started using their much-deserved breaks to visit with Lenny. Everyone at City Hall is talking about this big sweetie-pie, and wondering why no one has come to claim him.
For days, Lenny watched every car that drove by, hoping to see his family. For now, however, Lenny has bonded with his foster dad (as he will with the lucky person who adopts him), and the feeling is mutual!
At a recent visit with Lenny, who’s convinced he’s a lap dog, he was sitting in his foster dad’s lap, giving him kisses on the nose. Soon, Paul’s own two dogs and his other foster dog piled on top of the two in one big doggie love-fest. Lenny had a boxer sprawled across his neck and a corgi’s tail in his face, and that was just fine with him. As long as someone is loving him, all is well in his world.
Lenny is truly extraordinary—a 100% gentle, goofy boy who’s a bit of an old soul. He’s so easy to have around, and would even make a great therapy dog! What a special boy!
