My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Franz von Scholl is a classically handsome 5 year old German Shepherd. He is a good sized guy, well built and solid. He looks so impressive and regal, that it seems almost surprising when he is so outgoing and welcoming to new people at an adoption event. He does so well with other dogs and shares his foster home with female canines, all with different personalities. Franz is very affectionate and loves to sleep right next to his foster mom. Franz has had hip surgery and is almost totally recovered. He can do things he couldn’t do before like jump up on the couch, which may not be a good thing for some people. Franz is happy with a walk around the block and playing with his foster sisters. He loves to scratch his back by lying on his back and moving all around the rug on his back, legs sticking up. He's a real nut. He is house trained, walks well on the leash and loves his daily walks. He knows how to sit and wait, and is learning to come, give his paw, etc. He gets along well with his foster sisters and is very gentle. He is getting used to car rides. He enjoys his crate with the door open but is not fond of having it closed yet. Franz loves his rope toy and also his sister's flashy ball. He gets so goofy when his foster mom asks him for his rope and prances all around the house talking to her. He will make someone a very loyal and loving companion and also will be good with children. Franz has visited with a cat at another volunteer’s house and was good, they went nose to nose and then he walked away! Franz is with a foster mom who spends lots of time with her dogs, they are pretty much problem free and ready to make an easy transition to a new home.
