Toma's Story...
Toma is approximately 1.5 years old and weighs 30 lbs with medium energy level. She is always up for whatever's going on! Toma loves car rides and her foster mom just discovered she loves to swim. She has long(ish), soft silky hair - such an adorable girl! Because Toma is very agile, we recommend she goes to a home with a securely fenced yard. She is a very clever little dog, very sweet and loves to cuddle. She is good with kids, cats and is crate trained. Wow... what more could you ask for?
Toma is spayed, micro chipped and current on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $150.00. If you are interested in Toma, please complete an application from our website at *Please note that Toma is fostered in Bend, OR.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toma, a Portland Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
