Have you seen a prettier, more stunning face? That's what my foster family, and all the people that meet me say. Let me properly introduce myself...my name is Jessie, and I'm about 5-6 years young, and a German Shepherd/Rotti mix. My foster family says that I've got the coloring, looks and personality of a German Shepherd, and I've only got the body shape of a rotti. I was found as a stray, but I think I was owned by someone once, because they cropped my tail too short, so now I only have a little stub to wag at you (I miss my tail sometimesL), but you should see how I wiggle it with excitment, whenever I see you. I don't understand why no one adopted me from the shelter, because I was being a nice, quiet dog, and not bouncing around like all the other dogs there, and the shelter staff said I was one of the best dogs there, but I guess people didn't think I was cute and fluffy enough.
Unfortunately, I heard someone at the shelter, who was really sad, say something about "putting me to sleep", because they were running out of space, although I didn't think I needed a nap. But luck for me, my foster mom took one look at my beautiful, big brown eyes, and she immediately scooped me outta there...whew, that was close!!
Everyone says what a sweet, friendly, affectionate dog I am...all I know, is I love to give kisses and smooches any chance I can get, and I'm happiest if you let me sit in your lap!! Who says that big dogs can't be lap dogs!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE people of all sizes, especially children, because they love to cuddle with me, which is one of my favorite things!! I love it when my human foster sister, loves to give me hugs and kisses!! My foster mom calls me "the mayor", because I have to meet and greet everyone I see!! I am happiest being wherever my people are, and just love to curl up, and lay at their feet. I would be great as an only dog, or it would be really nice, if you have another dog for me to pal around with, that is calm and mellow like me, but only after we get to meet each other properly, and in a calm environment. I live with another female dog right now, and we get along great!! Sorry no cats or small dogs for me, because I like to chase them - only medium or big dogs for this gal!!
I am completely housebroken, up to date on all my shots, micro-chipped, and already spayed (I had puppies once, but sadly, I don't know what happened to them). And who says I've just got looks - I've been told that I am a very smart, obedient girl, and I am always eager to please, and I'm always motivated by a good doggie snack!!. I can "Sit" and "Lay Down", and let me show you how good I am when you take me for rides in the car, because I sit like a nice girl, and just enjoy watching the scenery. I love to go for walks, but because I'm strong, little gal, I can pull a little on the leash, and I'm slowly getting better, but I might just need a reminder once in a while. I love to play fetch with a tennis ball (you might not get me to stop!!), and always have lots of fun, when I go to the dog park.
If you're looking for a calm, mellow dog that would be great with your little ones, or just looking for a sweet gal, who just loves to give love and affection, and you will love me, as much as I love you, than look no further, because I'm your girl!!! Hope to meet you soon....Love, Jessie!!
