My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Athena

Breed: Miniature Pinscher
Gender: Female, spayed
DOB: ~ 11-25-2002
Weight: ~ 10 pounds
Microchipped
Adoption Fee: $150

Wheres Athena? is a favorite game at our house! All the foster dogs will run out the door, we look around and ask, Wheres Athena? A trip back inside, a search, and a question, Wheres Athena? Movement on the couch. Wheres Athena? A little closer to the couch, pull the afghan back, and there she is! A not-too-happy goddess growls and grumbles her way to the door as though to say, how dare you interrupt the rest of the Gods?

Athena is a wonderful companion. She enjoys sitting with her family, taking long walks, and sleeping away the lazy afternoons. In some ways she can be a bit aloof and independent. In other ways, she is in need of love and attention and craves being with her people. She can be quite vocal at times, but in general is a quiet and respectful companion.

If you are looking for an intelligent, active dog, Athena may be for you! She enjoys her daily walks, loves going for rides in the car, and enjoys visiting new locations and being a part of the activities.

She would do best, we think, in an older home without other dogs or children. While there is not an aggressive nature to her behavior, she simply becomes more agitated with other dogs that play and run around. If the other dogs in the home are more laid back and mellow, she'd probably do fine. She just needs her lap time, her walk time, and lots of nap time! She's looking for a quiet home with an active lifestyle. Shes a great little girl!
