My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is an assisted placement! Please contact Kelly at KDTStout@aol.com for more information or to adopt Daisy & Sally.

These two little girls came to us toward the end of March 2011. It was a Wednesday and they found my husband working outside and with begging eyes the girls insisted that we come to their rescue.

We invited them into our yard and gave them water and food. They were so thirsty and hungry. They were also so tired. Our daughter was able to make a bed for them and they slept for hours under their blanket. They had some slight injuries and were covered with ticks. They did not complain a bit while we doctored their wounds and removed ticks.

They have become our ten-year-old daughter's best friends. Watching the three of them together tells us that they love children and would be very gentle with kids. They enjoy playing all kinds of games, mostly playing pretend.

The girls came to us not knowing any commands. They have learned to sit and stay. They do have to wiggle for a while, however, before they are ready to follow instructions. They do not know how to walk on a leash very well, but are learning. They are very smart and can be trained easily. They are so eager to please and just want to be held and loved.

We named the girls Daisy and Sally. They are equally sweet and equally smart. Daisy does cower down at times and seems to be a little bit shyer. Sally is not shy and may not follow instructions as quickly as Daisy. They are actually very quite for Beagles. They go to sleep at night and do not bark. They will bark at animals that pass by and will bark if they see you outside.

Daisy and Sally do need a very secure yard. They can squeeze through very small places and they will need a space that no openings or possible openings. They seem interested in cats, but we are not sure if they would chase a cat.

Daisy and Sally love each other very much and cannot be separated. They curl up together at night for sleep and they play with each other during the day.

The girls have been spayed recently and have received their rabies and distemper vaccinations.

Daisy and Sally need a very special home. They are very special girls and are loved by our family.
