Flintstones. Meet the Flintstones.
They're the modern stone age family!
It's so funny - everyone who meets me starts singing or humming the theme song when they hear my name! It doesn't bother me though - people look kinda goofy when they start singing and dancing to that song - and sooner or later - they all forget the words and end up giggling which just makes me a happy dog!
Anyways...my name is Fred and I am a male pittie/boxer mix who is looking for a loving forever home. The kind veterinarian I saw says that I'm about 1.5 years old. My brother and I came from a high kill shelter in South Carolina. You see, a rescue group had said they would take my brother and I into safety, and we were put in a foster house in S.C. until they could come and get us. Unfortunately, they never came and they wouldn't return any calls so my brother and I were scheduled to be taken back to the shelter to be put to sleep for lack of space. The angels from Waggs & Wishes Animal Rescue heard about our story and immediately stepped up to save our lives. They drove all the way down here to get us and now I'm in the Waggs & Wishes shelter waiting for my forever home to come along.
Aunt Angie says that I'm a sweet little guy who is looking for a playful loving family who will be patient and caring. I like to play and give kisses. I need to be the only pet in my new home because I like to steal all of the good loving for myself! I sometimes forget my own strength so I need to be in a home without teeny tiny little kids - I like my kids a bit older so that they can throw a ball and play fetch with me. I've never met a cat before so I'm not sure how I'd get along with them.
You know people always have a tough time with the last part of the lyrics to the Flintstones...but listen to them - it's perfect for me....
