My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tucker’s human dad passed away and his mom could not handle him. He was housetrained when he was young, but he had been living outside for a long time.

Tucker has just arrived at his foster home this weekend. He is sharing a home with a male Spinoni and they get along just fine. Here is more of what his foster mom has to say:

So far he has been over the whole yard and nothing - moving good. He ate half his dinner tonight and tried to get Ricco to play some. He barks like an Airedale. Got up on the couch and I have touched two feet with no reaction while he was up there. He does stare off into space and doesn't listen to come but not a shock there. Sure likes to give kisses - especially when he gets into trouble.
He got up in bed with me last night and slept part of the night at the foot. I gave both boys a new toy last night and they got along playing and switching toys (cause you know the other guy has the better one!) Tucker will fetch toys but he has little interest in them for very long any other way.

He goes out to do business and comes right back to the door and scratches to get in. All and all he is doing well for a first day and I think will settle down by the weekend and we can see just what he is really like. Am going to work on the recall – he needs to come when called – right now he has Airedale deafness.

Any time he gets into trouble he comes and does his ‘kissy’ act which is how he got away with things. He is going to be a great dog with some training and routine.

July 8, 2011 UPDATE from foster home:

I am really proud of Tucker – he was drinking water and Ricco pushed his way in to drink and Tucker just kept drinking. This has happened three times now and they are both drinking out of the same bowel at the same time. They played with the same toy last night and both enjoyed ‘teasing’ the other with it.

I think Tucker looks much more happy now.
