My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cali is looking for a home to call her own. She was one of the "river dogs" and had lived her entire life on a houseboat with an elderly man. Although he loved her very much he did not have the resources nor ability to care for her like he should. Although a little shy at first she warms up quickly and has nothing but tailwags and hugs for you. Cali seeks you out and loves to be with her people. She is being fostered with another from the houseboat and they are very quiet loving, gentle dogs. Cali is the funny one with the outgoing personality that you can't help but love! Cali is heartworm positive and is being treated currently for this but should have a full recovery. As with all PIF dogs she will be required to have monthly heartworm preventative. After much consideration we have decided it would be great if Cleo could be adopted with her sister Callie. There is a special adoption fee for the two of them. They are such great dogs that 2 of them would be absolutely no trouble at all.
