My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SORRY, WE ONLY ADOPT IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA, because we require in person home inspections.

Blue is a beautiful, energetic snow white three year old male with ice blue eyes.

He is just out of his puppyhood and is now a young adult, ready to explore the world. He is house trained and will let you know when he wants to go out.

Blue rides very well in the car, jumping in on his own and will sit and lay down contentedly while traveling. Blue walks well on a leash and plays well with his foster sister. He will sit and lay down on command (sometimes needs to be told twice) but he understands what he is being told and, with practice, will do it on the first command.

He will come when called but stops just out of reach. He seems to be a little wary of being grabbed, but with a little encouragement, he will come the rest of the way. Blue is crate trained. He is currently fed in his crate and stays there when his fosters are gone from the house but we feel once he becomes comfortable with his new humans he will no longer want (or need) a crate. Most Huskies don’t; much preferring to be close up and personal with their humans.

Blue does not get up on the furniture or the bed. His fosters allow this in some instances but Blue has chosen to stay out of reach so far. This could be good for those who prefer their dogs not be on the furniture. He is fed in his crate and will stay there while his fosters are away from the house.

He likes to play with dog toys, especially a tennis ball. We have not observed him around children yet so we will update his bio when that matter is resolved. His foster home has two cats, one of which stays hidden when Blue is around and the other has come nose to nose with Blue. He will chase the cat, seemingly to play, but does not realize that he is much bigger and can be too rough. At times Blue goes looking for the cat so we recommend caution in this area.

Blue is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date with all his shots and in excellent health. You can’t go wrong with this beautiful guy so why not fill out an adoption application on our web site, www.siberrescue.com, and add some zest to your life?
