Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey there, world. Sweet Pea here checking in, and I sure have some stories to tell. You see, my first two and a half years have been pretty confusing for me. First, I was at a home where my dad wanted me to have puppies to sell, but he realized he could not get AKC papers for me. I’m not exactly sure what that means, but it apparently it meant that my dad didn’t want to keep me anymore. He dropped me at a shelter where I stayed for a little while until a great person from IEBR came and picked me up. She said it was a good thing, since I was just hours away from being euthanized. After spending a bit of time in club IEBR, a couple adopted me and told me they would love me forever. After about a year, though, they had a human baby. I had some accidents in the house, and they thought it was from me acting out because of the baby. They insisted that I went back to IEBR. It turns out that I just needed a quick visit to the vet and a little medicine. After less than a week, I wasn’t having any more incontinence problems.
Okay, enough about all of that. I am back at IEBR and loving my time with my foster mom and dad and foster bully brother and sister. I don’t even mind the cats here! Wanna know a bit more about me? Well, my name could not fit me more perfectly. My foster mom and dad tell me that I am about as sweet as can be. I am about fifty pounds and in great shape. I have a long tail, which I guess is kind of unique. I am very loving and want nothing more than to snuggle with people. If they stop petting me, I gently paw them to remind them that I am still there! Fortunately I have the softest coat around, so people don’t seem to mind petting me. I am a pretty energetic girl, and I love to play. I would never try to hurt anyone, but I may be a bit too excitable for young children. Despite my wandering past, I have learned some commands – I know sit, stay, down, shake, and even roll over! I am such a good girl. I do pull a little on a leash, but I am getting better. Foster mom and dad say they will keep working with me on that. I must tell you I prefer to be any only dog, so please no other dogs.
Well, what do ya think? I’m looking forward to making new stories, only I want them to have better endings. I really, really want a family that will finally love me forever end my wandering ways.
