Full of pizzazz, Emmet does not mind being called cute, because that is exactly what he is! A mix of jack russell and beagle, he has quite the expressive face and outgoing personality. Emmett is the kind of dog who probably needs alot of activity , some agility or other sports to keep his mind and soul busy. He is with other dogs and he does okay, but he has had issues being possessive of his people in a home and would probably do best in a home as an only dog, without small children and without cats. Emmet is a wonderfully smart and eager to please boy, who loves getting attention and being with his person(s) He will need someone who has behavioral training skills or who is willing to learn with him how to correct his inappropriate attention seeking behaviors. He also is an escape artist and will need someone who has time to spend with him to make sure he`s secure and getting the exercise he needs without running off. Emmet is just over four years old, but he sure has alot of playing he wants to do! Emmet is the kind of dog who wants attention and will reward you with his silly antics and playful nature and good hearted loving. He`s a fun guy who is very smart and would do well in basic obedience and agility training , given the chance. He came to our rescue over 2 years ago and has waited so patiently for a home of his own. He`d love to have all your undivided attention, and if you are looking for a devoted, constant companion, then this is your boy.
