Adorable doesn't even begin to describe Jesse & James! And they are as sweet as they are cute. Can you believe these beautiful little pups were just dumped at the shelter? We're not sure if they are father/son, siblings, or just best friends, but each is the only security the other has ever known, and they are very bonded with each other.
Many people contact us looking for a companion for their existing dog. Finding the perfect companion is not always easy: you have to find the right size, the right temperament, sometimes the right gender, and you usually have to take your dog to meet several dogs before finding "the one" (and with the price of gas, who wants to do that?). Well here's your chance to avoid all the hassle and get them both at the same time. Jesse and James are best friends, and we all know two are better -- and easier -- than one!
The vet thinks they're between 1-2 years old; Jesse is 14 lbs, and James is 9 lbs. They were both very dirty and matted when they came into the shelter (as you can see by the "before" photos) so we had no choice but to cut their hair really short, but they are beautiful dogs and once their hair grows out they will be absolutely gorgeous! And they are also nonshedding.
Despite their obvious neglect, both of these boys are incredibly affectionate and loving. In fact, they seem to be trying to soak up all the love and cuddles they missed the first year of their lives. The day after they were brought home, their foster family had a party with a house full of kids and adults and both of these little guys were perfect. They get along fine with the other dogs, but would do best in a home of their own without other dogs. They want to chase the cats but wouldn't hurt them; they just think chase is a really fun game!
Jesse is the more confident of the two and prances around with his head held high and his tail waving. He really likes the 3 and 5 year old children in his foster home and immediately ran up to them and kissed them when he was brought home from the groomer. Jesse watches out for James and helps show him that he does not have anything to fear now that they are safe and out of the shelter.
James is a complete love! He is somewhat timid, but he is gentle, sweet and already gaining more confidence in his foster home. He LOVES to cuddle and give gentle little kisses.
Jesse and James are an absolute delight; they are well behaved and know how to potty outside. These little guys would make great companions for a single person, a couple, or a family with children. All they need is a safe, loving place to call home... and each other.
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vet checked, current on vaccinations, microchipped, groomed, de-wormed, de-flea'd, and come with a collar, leash, ID tag, and puppy kisses from the lucky dog you take home!
