Breed info:
Shih Tzu - http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/shihtzu.htm

Courtney is non-shedding and may be more ideal for allergy sufferers. Keep in mind non-shedding means more grooming! She should visit a groomer every 6-8 weeks to keep her coat or moderate length and free of painful mats.

Courtney is a lucky little girl, she seems to have been relatively socialized even though she came to us from a backyard breeding situation. Courtney can’t get enough attention, hugs, kisses, cuddles and praise. She’s so sweet you’d never know she came from a home with little love in it. She just adores people, she is always underfoot and wants to be involved in anything going on. Her mug shots really don’t do this little doll any justice. She’s an adorable diamond in the rough at the moment and we are working on having her groomed shortly, after she has had time to recover from her spay. you’ve got to meet her in person to see what a sweet soul she is. She is great with other dogs, cats and respectful kids. She is crate trained and has done well with house training, she is still sleeping in her crate at night and when left alone. Courtney is fine left alone for typical 9-5 work hours and can likely be given free roam once a routine has been established with her new home. Courtney just likes to be babied and be with her people, she is perfect for a single person or someone with kids that would love a little dog to dress up, brush, cuddle and spoil. She doesn’t really care what you are doing with her as long as she’s getting the love! Courtney walks very nicely on a leash, she likes car rides and will ride in the car in a crate, on the seat, on a lap…where ever you want her to really. She sometimes barks when people come to the door but isn’t yappy and really isn’t much of a watch dog, she’d prefer to have people come up and give her attention. We just know that whoever adopts this little dog is going to have an adoring, loving, loyal buddy for life. She would be happy in an apartment or house with a fenced yard.

If you are interested in being considered to adopt a pet please submit a 4 Legged Love Adoption Application. An application must be submitted before an appointment can be made to meet/adopt a pet.
