What’s better then a great personality and chocolate??? Nothing! Meet Zip! Zip came to us from a high kill shelter. We suspect his owner left him there due to his energy level, they likely wanted a cute little pocket pet and Zip would rather trot alongside you then be carried. He is the most personably little chocolate pup you could ever meet. We are pretty sure he is part Italian Greyhound and part Terrier, he’s so quick and agile when playing around even though he’s tiny enough to scoop up and carry off. Zip loves to play with other dogs – he usually out runs them, we haven’t had him around cats but suspect he’d be fine with a little training, he is good with kids but better suited to a home with older kids 6yrs+. Zip is house trained and crate trained. He is always happy to make new friends where ever he goes. He is quite a lot when on the ground but settles right in to your arms or lap for a ton of TLC, if you sit down with him he tends to just launch himself on to you, roll over and nuzzle in to you, this guy is for sure a lover. He needs to work on basic commands and still tries to mouth when excited. He is working on the mouthing and tends to get the hint pretty quick with a firm no and ignoring him, he doesn’t bite hard but obviously his previous owner’s didn’t curb puppy mouthing early on. Zip loves to go for walks, play in the FENCED doggy parks and play with whatever toys are around. Being a typical pup he does have a fair amount of energy and though he can be quite the lap dog he needs a good run and play session first before he can chill out. He’d be great for an active family looking for a smaller canine buddy to tag along on family outings. He would be perfect for a home with kids old enough to play fetch and take him out for lots of walks. He’s super cute and unique looking (yes he’s really chocolate colored!) so your sure to get plenty of compliments on this boy. He’d be good on his own but would also make a great second dog. Zip is best suited to a house with a fenced yard.
