My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mrs. Briar... Schnauzer/Dachshund mix. What a little love ! This girl lived her life in a garage with cats and ate cat food.  She had no love or care at all. When she came into rescue she was a mess as she was flea infested and her skin was raw. Since being with us, she's a new girl.  Aside from her skin (which is much better) she appears to be in great shape.  She has been spayed, tested for Heartworm and Lyme (negative), has had her rabies and distemper vaccinations, had a stool check and has been on antibiotics for her skin.  The entire vet office was in love with her !!  She has been on a good diet and is in general doing well.  She rides very well in the car and behaves very well when out.  She was not housebroken at first but is doing much better with that also.  She just loves to be with someone.  She is great with cats, dogs (of a gentle temperament) and children (gentle who have been taught how to treat an animal). She just wants to be around people ..  She is a bit of an escape artist as she had no boundries previously so her new family would have to be aware of that...........  Mrs. Briar is a great little girl who would be a wonderful family member bringing a lot of joy with her. She's 9 years old but acts and looks like a 4 year old.
