My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

7-14-07 Adopted and off to Plains to live with other old, large dogs. Be good and have fun.
Most of Vet fees paid by "CDA Smalldog rescue", "Lea Harris in Haines, AK" and "Heather and her wonderful yard sale fund raiser for SDHR".

Quiet Senior!

"Sasha" was born 1-18-94 and is now 13 years old. Her elderly owner passed away recently and left this sweet girl in need of a new home though her heritage is certainly open to speculation! The guesses range from a Border Collie mix, Collie/Sheltie mix, Aussie mix to a Sheltie/GSD mix. Whatever she is, she needs help and a new home!

She was in pretty bad shape on arrival, dirty, smelly, matted, upper respiratory infection, in need of a good dental, very underweight, weighed only 27 pounds and should be at least 35-40 pounds or more. Her shots are current, teeth are now clean, she is spayed, gaining weight and is ready to look for that much needed special new home.

So far she has been very sweet and gentle with me and all the dogs here, most of which are far smaller than she is and just about as old. She has been giving gentle tail wags and sniffs to many of them as well. Hopefully as she gains weight and strength she will remain just as sweet and calm as she is now and won't start bouncing around and accidentally squishing any of the tiny critters in residence. (grin) If you think you can give her a great retirement home for her last years please contact me so we can set up a meeting and see if she agrees.
