My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reese has just arrived at DDRI. She is a severe abuse victim from KY. Her owners did not feed her and then decided to hang her. Well, God was definitely with Reese that day. She managed to gain footing on a box where she stood on her tip toes. Shortly after that, Animal Control arrived and cut her down.
Reese had to remain in the KY shelter for 6 weeks while they were holding hearings for the abuse charges pending against the humans who did this to her. After the hearings, Reese was able to be released to foster and rescue. She stayed with a wonderful woman named Karen for her first week of out the shelter and then she was sent to our rescue here in PA via relay transport (thank you to everyone who gave up their Saturday to help Reese, R-Buck and Dolly).
Reese was spayed and evaluated before coming to rescue. She will also be seen by our vet later this week for a full check-up.
Reese is on the shy side and lacks confidence, but we know she will thrive in a positive environment. And, she is SOOOOOO SWEET! This dog is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met. She is a total LOVE!
Reese took a fast liking to our niece. We are not sure if there were children in the picture before or not, but she really seems to love them!
Reese is 3 years old, cropped (one flopped) and docked, black/rust Dober-girl. She is current on vaccines, HW-, crate trained and house trained.
She is getting along with the other dogs just fine and has greeted all new people in the most friendly manner possible.
Reese will not be ready for a new home until we have her evaluated by our vet and we have had time to get to know her.
It is very likely that Reese is going to require some dental surgery. We could really use your help with this financially.
