My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello everyone my name is Shorty. If you are looking for a mature good looking, well behaved senior I'm the guy for you. I was found wandering along the highway and a nice lady picked me up so I wouldn't get hit by all those cars coming by. She took me home, cleaned me up some and tried to find my owners but couldn't. That’s when I got lucky and she contacted ABR and they found me a foster home. Unfortunately I couldn't stay with my first foster family because they lived on the 3rd floor and I had a hard time getting up the steps. First foster mom was sad to see me go but she must have known that I was going to have it easier here at my new home. When I first got here my new family took me to see the vet who put me on some medicine for what they call arthritis I can now run up and down the steps and almost keep up with my new foster brother and sisters when they are running around outside. I love it here but I would really like to have a home of my own. Oh yes there is a couple more things to tell you about me. I don't like to be in a crate in fact I go into a panic attack when they try to put me in but mom says that I am such a good boy that it’s no problem keeping me out. I don't get into anything and I never go on the furniture. (She’s very impressed with that). The vet also said I had to lose about 7 lbs and I'm working on it I have already lost 2 lbs. what with mom cutting out treats and dad making me go on long walks everyday. (He doesn't realize I REALLY love my walks.) Well that’s about it mom wants to say a few words so I guess I will turn it over to her:
Foster mom here just a couple more things to add. Shorty has had a complete senior blood work up and did have some counts that were out of whack but with changing his diet and exercise he is coming along good. He does have a hard time digesting food but we have found that he tolerates the Natural balance food well. He also has had a couple of small seizures and they have decided that if he has one more they will put him on medicine for them. . Also we think that Shorty should go to a home where someone will be home with him. He is a complete joy to have around doesn't ask for anything just to lay down by your feet and get his belly rub. He is very appreciative for everything he gets it’s like he knows he is safe and loved So my question to all of you out there looking can you find the love in your heart for this guy? I am sure you won't be disappointed because he will return it a hundred times over. Please help us make his latter years full of love and hope.
