My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Listed 10-14-11
hi my name is Chupacabra.
I am a darling 7 month old boy who was an apartment dweller. Because my former owner had too many dogs in the apartment, she had to get rid of one. I was relinquished to rescue, because I was the youngest. And because I lived in an apartment all of my short life, I am only potty pad trained. My foster mom got a good laugh when she saw me try to walk on grass for the first time. It felt like something was struck to my paws and I just couldn't remove it. She is working with me on my house training. Because i am so small, I may need to be indoors to potty in winter. Unless you bundle me up good!!!!
Oh yeah, I weigh about 3+ pounds and have long legs........
I will whine or spin around in circles to let you know I have to go potty. My foster mom puts me on the pad when I get her attention and do my business. Then she tells me what a good boy I am and gives me a treat.
I have a slight deformity in that my 3rd right toe is smaller than the others and my back toenails grow crooked. See, the umbilical cord was wrapped around my feet when I was born. You can't see the difference unless you look closely. I still walk on all fours, with no problem.
I am a good eater and love to play with my stuffed toys all the time. I have no food aggression. I like big and little doggies.
I like to lay in large crates with lots of blankets in it, and to burrow in them.
I don't mind being picked up but please have a blanket around me, it makes me feel more secure in your arms.
My foster mom says I have not seen a stranger. I think that means I love everyone. I will need leash training, because I am used to being carried!
I hardly ever bark. And I am learning about treats. Yum!
I am not vetted but have an appointment for 10-19 for my neuter. They say I am a Crypt-orchid ( that means my testicles have not come down). My adoption fee is $150.00
Please remember the rescue does not adopt to families with children under the age of 10 years old and they require a fenced in yard.
