My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dog Story
Hi, I am being called Bingo and I am told that I am eight years old, though you could never prove it by me. I really enjoy being around people, children, and cats. I really like the attention I get from my foster family. I don’t like to pull my handlers around, while on lead. And I am slowly beginning to realize my name, and come when called. The few times I have been a field with my foster family I have really not been much interested in hunting. I would rather just stick around them to be sure they are ok and maybe then I don’t get lost again.

You see, before I came here, I got lost, and was very scared. I had to search for food on a daily basis, and got extremely thin. But then the foster family came and rescued me, and I very happy. When I first got to my new home, all I wanted to do was lie around. I didn’t really have the energy to do anything. I was told that was because I was on the streets for so long I was a little sick. But I am doing a lot better now. I have more energy, and actually like chasing the other dog around.

I know some basic commands such as sit, stay, and come. Although sometimes I really don’t like to follow them.

Bingo has no aggressive tendencies toward other dogs. He gets along well with the 3 cats in his current foster home. He enjoys people and ATTENTION and seems to get along well with children.

It has been discovered that Bingo has Kidney Disease and will need to maintain a special diet and medication in order to help control the disease. Bingo’s expenses have been high due to the medical care he needs and the diet that he needs to be on. If you would like to become a Brittany Buddy and help out with Bingo’s expenses, he would sure appreciate it.

Due to Bingo's condition, Bingo will need to be adopted as a special needs dog. He will need to maintain his special diet, and will need to continue with his medications which we hope will help control his disease.

Bingo here, I was just to the vet and it was good news, my kidneys are responding to my special diet and the medication that I am taking. Thank you to all the special people who have donated toward my medical care. Because of you I can continue to get the care that I need to feel better.

History
Bingo is estimated to be eight years of age, slightly underweight, but large for a Brittany. When Bingo came to us as a recovered stray from Lancaster Pennsylvania he was extremely underweight. With the introduction of a special diet, which needs to be maintained, Bingo has improved in weight and health immensely. Bingo has more energy then when he first came to stay with us. We attribute that to the weight gain and the special diet he is on. He is a loveable dog, and wants to be cuddled every chance he can.

Bingo is up-to-date on his shots, heartworm negative and on preventative.
