My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DARLA came to us from Peninsula Humane in March. After a short stay at a temporary foster home, she has resided at The Dog House Inn, Gilroy. Darla has come long way, she is a great and loving people dog, we know she will make a wonderful pet to the right family. Darla is very alert, so if you live alone or remote she will warn you of anyone approaching the home. Although she does get along with some other dogs, she is very picky about who she wishes to play with, so we feel she is best as the only dog, AND NO CATS. Her ideal family will be with older children, she weighs 80lbs. Darla knows all the basic commands; she will thrive if her new family is willing to enroll her in obedience classes. Darla's good points are: She LOVES PEOPLE, she does her best to listen, and to please. Look at that smiling face. What doesn't she like?, the water hose pipe, we have no idea why, but she will run and hide from it. Please consider giving Darla a home, she is a good dog, and will be faithful for life. As young as she is, she has had too many disappointments; she has moved on from that, it is us in the rescue who want to find her the best home possible.
