Hi Im Roxie!
Everything is new to me and I love it! I spent most of my life with an elderly human who had dementia, even though he loved me, we didnt get out much, and he fed me human junk food. Now Im eating better, getting out and experiencing life! My foster mom loves to watch me experience things for the first time, she tells people its a joy watching me grow, be healthy and happy!
I get excited when I meet people and get to take rides in the car! I love to learn and get praised! Im relaxed indoors and am sensitive to touch and voice. I like nap on the bed, and occasionally come over and ask for pets, then go back and lay down for my nap. I love to snuggle - and will roll over on my back for belly rubs. My foster mom laughs because Ill lay there with my mouth open and paw in the air!
The first time I saw a Kong full of treats, I waited to see what happens with it - I didnt know I could actually play with it and get the treats out! I love tennis balls and recently took an interest in sticks - they are really cool! I like to pick them up and toss them in the air - woo hoo!
My skin was bad because of all the junk food I was eating, but now its a lot better and I still need a spot bath, and a full bath every now and again, I trust my foster mom to do this and I hold completely still.
Im a sweet girl that rarely got to go out and learn, but that is changing now, and Im having so much fun! Id love for my forever family to show me all the wonderful things in a dog's life that have been unavailable to me until now. I do prefer to be the only doggie in your life - I dont really like to share my humans with any other pups.
