Samson is a stunning Red Nose pit who is a very loving dog who needs a lot of attention and frankly he is a dog that very much deserves it! He is about 4 yrs old, 85 lbs and was rescued from a well known drug house in Port Charlotte, Florida. He was chained to a short runner on a tree, had open wounds all over his back where flies were eating at him and had no food and water. A good Samaritan took Samson home with me because at the time she had a nice big yard for him to play in. Samson does very well with cats. He chased/chases them a lot and will get rough with them if they get near his food, but over all he has been quite gentle with them and they all get along well. Samson over time has become very attached to his Samaritan. He has also become protective of his territory, his bones, food and living space. When he meets strangers, it just needs to be done slowly otherwise Samson may show some aggression towards the new visitor. Samson is in no way a vicious dog, but he is protective of his people. He is also an active boy who loves to play. He needs regular activity and consistent discipline. Presently, Samson is not getting the attention and time he deserves. Due to the economy his Samaritan had to move into a small basement apartment and just cannot keep Samspon any longer.
