My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sara is a 5 lb, petite Chihuahua who is sweet but insecure. Sara and two other dogs (see Honeybee and Lucky Henry) were abandoned on a construction site and ended up in the shelter. (Don't worry, we got them all out!) She is very shy at first, and will take several days of getting use to her new home to trust you. A good way to help this along is just to have her sitting on a lap and being close. She is fine on leash, though still getting use to the big world, loud noises will startle her. She is crate trained and rides well in the car. She gets along fine with other small dogs and may be okay with cats. Sara is very playful with the other dogs, and is totally undemanding of attention. She loves to snuggle in a big pile of soft blankets, or take a quiet nap in her crate which is just left open for her to use as a bed. Sara is a good eater and gently takes any offerred treats. Sara is under two years old and would be best in an adult only home.
