My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Ruby! I was a stray picked up by Merced Animal Control before The PRC rescued me. I had been shot in my front left leg and needed medical attention quickly. After 2 surgeries to try and repair the damage that had been done, I had my leg amputated. Now I am an adorable tripod! I don’t mind getting around on 3 legs one bit! I am completely healed and I am ready to find my forever family. I am about 2 yrs old, 45lbs, spayed and micro- chipped. I am EXTREMELY sweet! I love to kiss, get cuddled, and I LOVE belly scratches. I am great with children, people of all types and would make a great playmate for anyone ready to play. I have a very good disposition and naturally kind personality. If you want a lot of kisses in your home and you want to give a second chance to a special girl like me, come meet me!!!!!

ADOPTION PROCESS: Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times. All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adoptapet.html. Completed applications can be faxed to 949-768-5759 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care. The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd.
