Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Poor Sandy just can't get a break! She was someone's pet when she ended up in the shelter as a stray, but they never came for her. Then she found an adopter who she loved and who loved her back, but her adopter's apartment neighbors complained with Sandy barked while she was away (because Sandy wanted her to come home!) so the adopter had to bring her back, in tears. Now Sandy is homeless again when all she wants is a family to love her!
Sandy is a young dog with bright white teeth. Her mix is a mystery, but she is soft and smooth and super pretty.
What Sandy wants most is a person or a family to love her. She will welcome you home with happy jumps & snuggles. She'll happily lay on the couch next to you while you watch TV, and loves to go on walks. Sandy had a dog to play with in her adoptive home and she was in heaven - they would snuggle and play all day long! What we want most for Sandy is for a committed person to take her home and make her a part of the family -- she's been abandoned so many times in her short life that we just can't bear to see it happen again. When Sandy feels safe and part of the family she won't feel the need to bark when you leave your home, and we want someone who understands that and can't wait to help Sandy understand that she is loved!
Adoption fee: $200, includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations to date, heartworm testing, deworming, free first vet visit, discounted grooming, discounted boarding.
Shelter location: 550 Industrial Way, Suite D, Boynton Beach ~ Take Gateway Blvd west from I-95. Take a right at the first stoplight which is High Ridge Road. Take a right on Industrial Way and we are at the end of the street. :) You can come any day Tuesday-Sunday from 2-6 p.m. to meet our adoptables!
