My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WE ARE SORRY BUT WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA

Have you ever seen such an adorable Husky teddy bear? Meet Timber, a handsome Husky who is looking for his new forever home. He was picked up as a stray and spent some time at a shelter until our rescue took him in. However, it is somewhat apparent that he has had some training since he knows how to sit and give you his paw.

Timber is a laid back young adult Husky, yet still full of that Husky puppy-like energy. He loves to play with stuffed toys, shaking them and tossing them around. If the toy has a squeaker, it won’t be there for long, neither will the stuffing. He is pretty obedient and does not normally get up on the furniture. Timber will give you a gentle nudge when he wants attention. He is the perfect snuggle companion.

Timber gets very excited when it's time for a walk... as soon as he sees you pick up a leash he is right at the door ready to go. He walks nicely on a leash, only pulling when he catches a sniff of something irresistible. He also loves car rides and is very content on the journey. He hops right in the car and lays down awaiting the next stop.

Timber is very affectionate with all the humans he meets - adults and kids and gets along with just about any dog - male, female, small, medium or large. He has not had much exposure to cats but, in the one meet and greet he has had, he was very curious and did a little gentle mouthing trying to figure out what it was. This, in and of itself, is not convincing evidence of how he would fully react to a cat in his environment, so we recommend caution.

Timber is neutered, up to date on shots, housebroken, microchipped and crate trained, although you will probably find he is not destructive and really won’t need a crate. Unfortunately, Timber is heartworm positive and he is going through treatment. He is coming along well, already available for adoption and ready to snuggle up with his new family. That could be you if you fill out an adoption application on our web site, WWW.SIBERRESCUE.COM.
