My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I want you all to meet Chase, my foster, what a good boy he is. He knows "Chase come!" like I have never seen before. You say it once and no matter where he is, he is at your feet in 10 seconds flat! He loves to cuddle on the couch and share pillows with the humans. When he is tired he goes in his crate and sleeps unless you call him onto the couch. He is always at one of our sides all the time, when he disappears he is either in the crate or munching on a rawhide (which he loves). Will lie for hours and chew if given a good rawhide. Is great with all people (has not been exposed to kids while living here), good with cats, and great with other dogs. Chase is also totally housebroken. Does great in the crate at night (would prefer to be in the bed though). He is crated when we leave, we just give him a Kong filled with peanut butter and shredded wheat. He loves to play with toys, will rip them up but I'd say that is normal. He is always taking toys outside and stashing them under the table or in corners. We have not had a problem with chewing on off limit items. Does know "sit" and "chase come" but that is it, and is not the best on a leash, so he will need some work in the department.

Chase is VERY gentle when given a treat, but he does like to jump on you and also likes to counter surf (again-normal). He is a powerhouse, compact and very strong. When we get home from work his butt wiggles like a madman! Chase only wants to be with us whether in front of the TV or in the bathroom when in the shower or lying beside you while on the computer. He just wants love. Acted a little weird the other day when we had the rainstorm, maybe afraid of thunder? Overall he just wants love and attention. While at the vet with me he did GREAT! We put him up on the exam table to do a look over. He just lied there while we listened to his heart and did a general exam. We cleaned his ears and he just lied on the table, didn't move, and just groaned. I have never seen anything like it, most dogs struggle and try to jump off, he just lied there! He even let us draw his blood. For a Brittany that never happens. Everyone kept asking if he was alright because he was just such a good boy. I can also trim his nails with no help at all. He is calm; don't know if that Brittany energy hasn’t come out yet or if he is just calm. I would think by now the crazy Brittany energy would show.

Chase’s owners surrender him, as they did not have enough time to spend with him and thought it was best that he go to a home that can give him the time and attention that he deserves.

Chase is UTD on all his shots is heartworm negative and is on preventative. If you are interested in giving Chase a new home please fill out an adoption application .
