My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Riley is a handsome 1-2 year old boy who is one very smart coonhound. When he became lost or abandoned, he knew precisely which yard to wander into. And, while he was at it, he squirmed his way right into the hearts of his soon-to-be foster parents! He apparently decided right then and there that he wanted to leave his old days behind, and live…well, live the Life of Riley! In less than a week after selecting his foster parents, he’d learned to sit, stay, and walk quietly on a leash (well, most of the time!) He quickly picked up on sit and stay at meal time and is really enjoying getting good food on a regular basis.

Riley gets along well with other dogs, loves going to the dog park and likes playing with the kids down the road. He is learning to behave around cats. He likes to play tug-of-war and is investigating dog toys for what seems to be the first time in his life. Riley’s foster mom says “He’s the sweetest and smartest dog ever! He learns fast and absolutely loves belly rubs!” Riley is in good weight at 63 lbs and is waiting in Georgia for his forever family.
