Russell's Story...
Russell is around 3 years old, is Small in size, walks on a leash, sits when asked, he appears to be sweet & loving, playful, some what obedient, fun, and a really cute little boy. I gave a little test by looking in Russell's mouth, pulling on his ears and tail, holding his paw and giving him a little kiss and hug. Russell appeared to past the test, he did not like his tail pulled, so may be best in a home with children 8 years old and up. We feel he may make a loving family member and SUPER companion. We also feel this boy would do best in a very well fenced yard to play in If you wish, Russell can be tested at the shelter around Dogs & Cats.

Act quickly to adopt Russell. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Russell, a Grass Valley Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Grass Valley, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Grass Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grass Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grass Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grass Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
