My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***UPDATE***3-17-12 "HELLO, MY NAME IS FIONA & I WANT TO TELL YOU MY STORY!" My foster people found me the day after Thanksgiving running loose on a golf course. They tried for 2 hrs. to catch me but I was too afraid so I spent a cold & rainy couple days outside. My foster Dad kept coming to the golf course to try to get me to come to him & get out of the cold but I was still too scared. Someone managed to catch me & took me to a local shelter where I was VERY uphappy so my foster people picked me up that day & I have been at their house since then learning what I need to know to be a good dog in my furever home. My foster people don't know why I was so afraid to come to them because I have not shown any signs of being afraid of people since then??

I did not have much confidence in myself when I 1st came here & no one had taught me how to be A GOOD DOG (have good manners, etc.) HERE IS WHAT I HAVE LEARNED: That it is NEVER okay to go to the bathrm. in the house so I don't do that anymore! Not to jump on people. How to play nice with other dogs. How to behave myself when I go in my crate.

HERE ARE THINGS MY FOSTER PEOPLE HAVE LEARNED ABOUT ME: I walk good on a leash, I am good around strangers, I am VERY eager to please & it really makes me feel good to get praised, I very gently take treats when I get one, & am just a SWEET & silly young Boxer girl. I like to snuggle but am also content to go lay on a dog bed & nap on my own. I really enjoy playing with other dogs & want to go to a home that has another dog!

SOMETHING UNIQUE ABOUT ME: I am an aspiring Doggie Fitness Instructor (DFI). I am working with my 1st 2 clients - Maggie (female Boxer) & Ernie (male mini. Schnauzer). Maggie sure "gives me a run for my dog treats" because she is already in such good shape. Here are the services I offer as a DFI - lots of wrestling inside & lots of running outside. Maggie & I run & run & run a lot in the backyard. Ernie tries to keep up with us but it is harder for him but he is getting better because of my services. My foster Mom doesn't have to feel guilty if she doesn't have time to take us for walks because I make sure we all get enough exercise! Isn't that great!?

As you can see, I am ready for my furever home & am taking applications for potential candidates. If you want a sweet Boxer girl that will provide you with love & laughter, I am the girl for you! :)
