My name is Pumpkin, and I want a home of my own for Christmas! Or New Year's. Or, you know, whenever. I'm ready ASAP!
I was found as a stray in Houston, and a good Samaritan kept me for a month until it was determined that my people weren't anywhere to be found. She called lots of rescue groups, and eventually this big sucker up here in Dallas came and got me, and I've been here ever since lookign for a place of my own. I LOVE kids, and cats and other small dogs are pretty cool too. I'm not very fond of big dogs, but I might be okay with an older calm girl who isn't too bossy.
I'm not actually a German Spitz, but the person that found me thought I was one, adn took a very convincing photo of me. I do have an EXCELLENT spitzy curled tail.
I'm housebroken, and crate trained, and I know how to sit so you can put my leash on. I don't bark, and I'd do great in a house or an apartment. I'm fine with people going to work all day as long as I can get out for a good walk when you come home, and as far as I can tell, I'm pretty much perfect. My foster mom says I could use a few more manners like not leaping into people's laps while they are watching TV and taking up less of the sofa (I move when asked, I don't know what she's complaining about), but I think she's just looking for an excuse to keep me longer. (I have trained her to give me cookies for sitting up like a bunny, she thinks it's the cutest thing ever.) I weigh about 15 pounds but should probably be closer to 18-19 once I put some weight on.
My adoption fee is $165. I am heartworm negative, up to date on all my shots, and will be neutered after the holidays, which is included in my adoption fee.
