Meet Bodi! This young chap is a happy, playful pup – and he’s just a little squirt! Weighing in at under 20 pounds, Bodi is an ~5 month old BC mix. With a lively nature, a glossy black coat, and a sparkle in his eyes, Bodi is a heartstealer!
Rescued with his sister Bitsi from an Idaho shelter, Bodi is a fairly confident kiddo. He enjoys the company of humans and he gets along very well with the small children in his foster home, too. He loves to play and wrestle with his sister and gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. Bodi is a little apprehensive when greeting other dogs if he is on leash, and will need more guidance and additional socializing to help him feel less nervous. The jury is still out with regards to his herding instinct, but he sure does like to fetch! Cats are an unknown at this point. Like his sister, and unlike many young sheepdogs, Bodi is no high-energy puppy – he’s a moderate energy lad, who will need a reasonable dose of exercise daily to be happiest and at his best.
Bodi is still just a puppy and will need everything a puppy needs: continued socialization, lots and lots of training, and adopters who have the time and energy to raise a young one right! He is cratetrained and nearly house-trained, and has started with the basics in his foster home. Bodi will need adopters who will not only continue with his basic manners education, but who will help him gain more experience in the world so he can develop into the confident young chap we know he can be!
All in all, Bodi is a great pup who is suitable to a wide variety of homes. If you have the time to devote to raising a youngster, and your heart warms at the thought of a happy, agreeable, playful pup – Bodi may be the one for you!
Bodi is current on vaccinations and deworming, and his adoption will include a $100 neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee; that deposit will be cheerfully refunded to his adopter(s) when proof of neuter is provided (when he’s ~6 mths old). Bodi is fostered in a loving home near Salt Lake City, UT.
