My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Lily. I'm just tiny, weighing only 30 lbs. I was someone's beloved pet at one time, but when they moved I was left behind to fend for myself. Thankfully, someone started feeding me, then rescued me. I get to live inside a house again with people and other dogs to play with, which makes me very happy. I am housetrained and friendly with people and other dogs. I am spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. I have an extremely sweet and loving personality. I follow my foster mom everywhere. I play well with the other dogs, but I won't back down when being picked on. I may be small but I won't be bullied by other dogs. I'm wonderful with people and learning to sit and wait for my food. I play hard with the teenage boys in my foster home. I'm very smart. I like games and learning new tricks. So, prepare to fall in love with me! I'll be your best friend for life. Adoption fee: $75.

Adoption Process:
Complete the application at the link above or send an email to info@pawsforliferescue.org to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. This is a pending period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
