My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the amazing, resilient, wonderful KIRBY!!!

Kirby has had quite a journey. And, despite the hardship he endured, he has remained so very pure of heart and loving. Kirby is a miracle dog. Folks interested in his full story can visit his FB page here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/HelpKirby/302525269778389 and watch his videos here: http://www.youtube.com/user/ToughLovePitRescue?feature=g-all-u

Kirby is about 10 months old and weighs 50 pounds. He is such a beautiful boy with an expressive face and the cutest little "pit bull" ears!

He is initially shy but extremely sweet, and warms up quickly. He really likes children! He gets along well with his doggie foster brothers. He is very curious and kind to cats. Kirby would enjoy having some animal friends to play with!

Kirby loves to chase and play with any toy that has a squeaker! He also loves doing "zoomies" when he's excited :)

kirby does best with a regular daily routine and is up for anything you have planned; whether it's laying around and relaxing, going for an adventure in the car, or going for a nice walk ( although he does need a bit more practice on a leash.)

kirby is a little timid upon first meeting him, but he gets attached easily and craves belly burs, forehead kisses, lot of love, and of course, treats.

Kirby is a very quiet dog but does alert bark. He knows basic commands like "sit", "down", "drop it" and "come". he has mastered sharing, loves to snuggle, and enjoys being involved in whatever other dogs are doing. one look into his soulful eyes, and you'll know he's an angel and has quite a zest for life. Kirby is crate trained.

Because of the condition he was in when he arrived, Kirby injured his knee. Although this injury has healed itself, Kirby should not be a distance running companion. Walks are just fine.

Kirby's adoption fee is $150. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped with a Home Again chip.
