The name Bodhi is Pali/Sanskrit for awakened or knowing. It is usually translated in English as enlightenment. Bodhi is all that and more. In the words of his foster parents, “Bodhi is one of the sweetest Huskies we have ever met!” Since Bodhi was picked up as a stray before coming to our Rescue, we unfortunately have no information as to his previous home life.
He is a beautiful black, silver and white male with lots of wolf grey in his coat. You can see from his pictures that the colors form waves of alternating black and white – visually unique and stunning. You can't help but fall in love with him and his bi-eyes. One is an ice blue color, the other, a parti eye of blue and brown. His fosters have nicknamed him "Bodhi Blue-Eye".
He is a playful youngster, just oozing with happiness, love and affection. He is absolutely wonderful with children. He follows his foster Mom’s boys everywhere. He initially refused to sleep until he was put in the same room as the foster’s puppies. No matter what he must have gone through, this dog is as good as gold. His foster Mom says: “Awe...he is the best!!”
His favorite things to do are going to the dog park to fetch balls, riding in the car, going for lots of walks, and meeting other dogs. He is a curious boy, and extremely well behaved. He appears to have no need for a crate, although he finds them interesting. He loves his chew toys and seems to be quite content with those, especially ones that squeak! If he is ever suspicious about something, he does a great job of hiding it. We haven't found anything he doesn't like to do.
We don't know yet how he is with cats, we hope to find out, but he sure doesn't mind small dogs at all.
His fosters love having Bodhi at their home and pray every day for him to find a wonderful, forever home with a great family! To them, whoever ends up with Bodhi, will surely be blessed!
