Hi there! My name is Mona and I am a sweet little girl! I am an owner surrender originally adopted from the Longmont Humane Society. Unfortunately, that family felt we didn't bond well. :( I would love to find a forever home with a family who will appreciate my energy. I have two switches - off and go! I am either jumping up and down to go for a walk or I am curled up in a high spot to take a nap (kind of like a cat). I would really love to go on daily walks, work an agility course or run around the dog park. At some point, I decided that jumping up on tables is okay - maybe some prior home allowed this? At any rate, the good folks at Soft Place to Land are helping me learn more correct behavior. I even know some commands (such as sit) and a few tricks (high 5 & shake)! I am a very smart cookie and will learn new things quite easily. I get along with other dogs, but can be a little bossy with them if I feel they are not behaving the way I think think they should (otherwise known as the "fun police"). I can also be a bit bossy with cats. I do fine in my kennel, but would prefer not to be in one at night. Instead, I would love to curl up in bed with you! I am house broken and am great on a leash. I can get a bit nervous with change and new situations, so I would need some patience settling in, especially since I have already been in a few homes. Once I feel comfortable, I can make myself right at home! I really like children, so I could be a great companion for an active family.
