PomChi? ChiPom? We think this little boy is a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix so feel free to make up your own breed name. He is named Sanjaya for the American Idol contestant because he is lanky, has crazy hair and is very vocal. He is super social, and very sweet. He gets along loose in the house with all of his foster brothers/sister dogs in the house. If you think that this little peanut is singing your song, let us know by filling out an application!
Rawhide Rescue opens its arms to many dogs who are from puppy mills, or large breeding facilities, where dogs are bred for profit and not love. These dogs are routinely killed after their breeding days are over, usually at about age five, but we have been able to rescue dogs from some facilities.
Puppy mill dogs are a special rescue, as they have spent the majority of their lives in cages, and have not been properly socialized around humans. Each dog's rehabilitation varies widely, but problems with housebreaking, timidity and poor health are common.
