My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mya. We think she is a Boston/American Staffordshire mix. Her only desire is to belong to someone. She is non-intrusive & non-demanding. She has a very gentle mouth, almost dainty when she takes a treat. Her greatest joy is just to lay where she can see a person. She just wants to belong. She was so sad when she was dumped at a shelter by her family who were moving and couldn't take her.

Mya is 4 years old, house trained, crate trained, rides well & shows no interest in cats or puppies. She is spayed, heart worm negative, UTD on all vaccines & micro-chipped. Mya is a big girl (58lbs) but she doesn't throw her weight around. She's gentle & will lay by your feet for hours but the minute you get up, she is right beside you. She will go out & check the fence line but has no desire to stay out all day. She would rather be with people. If someone wants an easily cared-for pet, then Mya is the dog for you. Speak to her, pet her now & then & let her be with you & she's happy.

To know more about Mya, please call her foster mom, Gloria, at 706-541-2052. To adopt My, visit bostonrescueofsc.org and fill out an online application. Mya's adoption fee is $150
