Meet Sam! Sam was found running stray in a neighborhood in Tennessee. He was very thin, had a dull coat and overall didnt look like he was well cared for in the past. He was lucky enough to be scooped up by our friends down south that do spay/neuter education. They do not have the capacity to screen and place dogs into adoptive homes, but didnt want to turn him over to a high volume pound where he would be at risk of euthanasia. Instead he's been placed in a boarding kennel in the hopes that a rescue will be able to take him into foster care. The boarding bills are racking up, and they are anxious to get him into a home setting. We have no idea about housetraining or manners since he's been in a kennel, but we think he'd likely need to learn everything from scratch. He is less than a year old, and very friendly with humans. He can take a bit to warm up and play with other dogs, but once he's made a friend they are excellent together. He would likely do well with an active family or young couple. Unsure about his feelings towards cats and kids at this time. HE IS NOT YET IN OUR FOSTER PROGRAM, BUT IN A BOARDING KENNEL IN THE SOUTHERN US. WE NEED A FOSTER/ADOPTIVE HOME TO STEP UP IN ORDER TO BRING HIM INTO RESCUE.
