My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Male, red, senior 10 years. Cropped ears, docked tail. Harry was found as a stray wandering around Chula Vista. A good samaritan saw the condition he was in and just had to help him. Despite the obvious neglect, he wags his stubby tail, showing his perpetually friendly personality.

She took him in only to find that one of her current dogs did not approve and started to nip and bite at Harry. Being the mild mannered dog that he is, he was getting beat up. She knew it wasn't a good situation and called Aztec. When we took one look at that pathetic face, and were greeted with his charm, we immediately had to take him in.

After a thorough vet check up, his skin condition is from an allergic reaction to fleas. While there, he was neutered and a few other age related skin problems were treated and he was given a clean bill of health.

Harry has been with Aztec for a couple of weeks, and is showing some real improvement. Now on a good diet and no fleas, his coat is coming back. Since he is a senior dog, he does have a little stiffness here and there, but is always willing to show his happiness when he sees people. No matter what kind of neglect some people have dished out, Harry holds no grudges and only gives out affection in return.

We would love to find an adopter that is willing to give an old guy some quality time.
