Please also be aware that all of our cats and kittens will only be adopted out to homes which do not plan on having them de-clawed.
If this is something you feel is important, however, we do have quite a few cats that come into the rescue already de-clawed by their former owners. These guys and gals are of all ages, cuddly and very affectionate. We would overjoyed to put you in contact with them if you are at all interested.
Meet Jolie!
This mama is a wonderfully sweet, affectionate, playful and mellow kitty. She loves affection and attention almost as much as she loves looking out windows and planning deep strategies in her head to 'get those chipmunks'. Pull out a toy and she's like to entertain you for an hour. Give her a sniff of catnip and she'll amuse you all night long.
But, loving and cuddly as she is, you may have to give this kitty some time to get comfortable before her awesome nature comes out. The most reserved of our 'pride' ( a group of 11 cats who all came from the house of an older gentleman with dementia), she may be a little shy at first. But, please don't worry, your kind patience will ultimately have the best payoff possible when she discovers your bed and you wake up with her right next to you on the pillow.
Of course, the addition of small treats will go quite a long way toward speeding up this process. :)
