My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sammy is a very handsome, 2-3yr old, male, Pit Bull. He was brought to The Pet Rescue Center on February 27th. He was relinquished to us by David L. Hendrickson, (of Hendrick Boards)who took Sammy out of very poor living conditions. We all believe that poor Sammy has been used as a bait dog. He had old wounds and very new wounds covering his body, including a 3-4 inch laceration to the bottom of his chin and significant damage to his ears. We were given the privilege of taking Sammy to surgery through donations from our supporters and friends. He is almost completely healed and ready for a family to love him forever. Sammy is very well behaved. he gets along wonderfully with other dogs and people of all ages, shapes and sizes. He also knows some great tricks! He would be a very obedient and loving companion. We are very grateful they were able to help this sweet boy and we hope to find him the right home soon. Come check him out!
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email us at info@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adoptapet.html. Completed applications can be faxed to 949-768-5759 or emailed to: info@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
