Buddy's Story...
Buddy is a gorgeous Shepherd mix. He is a very young boy that is approximately 8 months old. This poor baby was sadly surrendered by his former owners to a kill shelter where he escaped being euthanized just in the nick of time by Lucky Dog Rescue. Unfortunately, the reason he was dumped at the pound is because his former owners were lazy and not willing to provide him with proper care or training. He is all puppy and needs a new family that will be patient with him and show him the ropes! He is eager to learn and is an extremely sweet boy! He gets along well with other friendly dogs and would make a good addition to any home that is looking to add a loyal companion to their family.

Buddy is very healthy, is neutered, heartworm tested and on preventative, up to date on all vaccines and is micro-chipped. His adoption donation of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of Lucky Dog Rescue. For more information on Buddy or to get an adoption application emailed to you, please contact Ray at or 847-639-6801. He is currently living in a kennel in Union, IL and would love to get out of the kennel and into a loving home environment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Chicago German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
