We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

Roscoe is a darling 6-7 month old puppy who was rescued at the very last minute from a rural shelter that still gasses excess animals. He ADORES small children and is extraordinarily gentle with them. Roscoe is currently 39 pounds and while his breed mix is uncertain, Roscoe looks like a miniature yellow lab with a little terrier mixed in. He will probably weigh less than 45 pounds and be knee high when he is full grown. Roscoe's coat is a soft light tan he's about as sweet a puppy as puppy come. Roscoe loves kids, enjoys playing with other dogs, and doesn't seem to mind the cat. He is curios about the hobby farm animals but doesn't bother them. Roscoe loves to snuggle in with people on the couch and will follow kids and the other dogs around so he doesn't miss out on the action!!! Roscoe loves going for walks and playing outside. He is crate trained and house trained when let out on a schedule. He's a very friendly, sweet boy just waiting for a family to call his own. Roscoe is with a 501c3 non profit rescue. His adoption fee of $300 is to cover his neuter, heartworm pill, distemper/parvo, rabies and bordatella vaccines, worming, flea/tick prevention and he has a HomeAgain microchip.
To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption. These criteria are not negotiable. If you do not meet these criteria, please choose another dog that will work out better for your family.

• Previous dog owning experience: Preferred but not required
• Age of children: Any age if supervised
• Another dog in the home: Another playful dog strongly desired unless humans are home all the time
• Cat(s) in the home: Fine with cats
