Hi! My name is Darlyn! I'm a very pretty girl who loves people. I'm a cuddler and I'm great with adults and kids. I'm really smart and a quick learner. I'm a typical hound dog - nose to the ground, sniffing my way through walks. I love this time of year - so many smells! I am housetrained and I currently live with a cat in my foster care home. Right now, I'm learning that the cat doesn't want to play with me. I am also learning commands and leash manners. Like all dogs, I need some basic training. But I love to love and I'm a good girl. I come when called and I have a happy, outgoing, upbeat and friendly personality. My smile is big, bright and contagious. I brighten everyone's day - I can't help it. I like to lounge and enjoy the companionship of people. Outside in the yard, I love to run and play with other dogs. Inside, I'm learning to share toys and my dog bed. It's probably from going so long without having anything of my own, in combination with my dominant personality. I like to be the boss of other animals. Now these nice people gave me things that are all mine and I don't know how to share just yet. But we're working on it. I'm not destructive and don't even need to be crated, which is really nice for me. And, I'm a very quiet dog too. When I do have something to say, it's important. I hope to find a loving family who will spend time with me and love me for life. Adoption fee: $75.

Adoption Process:
Complete the application at the link above or send an email to info@pawsforliferescue.org to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. This is a pending period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
