My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Originally brought in as a stray, Princess Polly was fostered with April and living under the name Burrito (she had to fit in with all those yappy Chihuahuas that were running around!) for a few months. Polly is now living in what we thought was her Forever Home. However, the Greyhound there before her doesn’t do well with puppies and Polly finally got a bit tired of the nipping so she nipped back. Unfortunately, even as a puppy, Polly does have a good bite so the Greyhound got a bit bloody and the so called Forever Family got a bit freaked out and now want to adopt her out.

At this point, we’re saying that Polly should go to a family with no dogs or with dogs that do VERY well with hyperactive puppies. Polly does great with kids and cats, but has obviously shown that she will eventually defend herself against other dogs that show aggression.

Polly is an American Pit Bull Terrier and the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet! She loves to be with her family and is the perfect companion for hiking, running, biking, or any other activity that will wear out some of her great energy! She has also been trained to pull a sled or small “chariot” and LOVES it. Polly is spayed, housebroken, current on all her vaccines, and knows all her basic commands – sit, stay, heel, come, and no.
